I was thinking it would work fine when I got it all done, since it worked great on XP. I took my time and made sure to install everything in exactly the right order, game, SI, patch, unofficial patches, DLCs, DLC patches, OBMM and OBSE, OOO and MMM, Dark UI, then everything else. I recently installed Oblivion (making sure to completely disable UAC of course, since that's nothing but annoying). Now, I have Windows 7, as a clean install to a brand new hard drive, and the new GPU and CPU. I previously had an Athand an nVidia GeForce 6700. When I got Windows 7, I got some hardware upgrades (or so I thought. I used to have Windows XP, and oblivion ran just fine on my machine. Oblivion.ini updated to include Dark UI fonts and videosĪrchiveinvalidation updated to include Dark UI and Dark UI videosĪnd now that all the specs are out of the way, here's what's going on.
I'm fairly certain it's -not- the steam version)ĭark UI (including loading screens and intro video) installed
SI installed, unknown version (it's an iso I got after I lost my SI disc. Mobo: ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe, nVidia chipset and integrated sound GPU: nVidia GeForce 7900 (also have a 7800 that I will be attempting to use later today)
